Executive Bios
With a management buyout in early 2003, the executive team of Maxium Solutions acquired 100% of the shares of the company. Each offering a unique set of skills and experience, the three Principals of the company are committed to delivering consistently high levels of support to an ever expanding client base, as the owners and executives of Skipton Group.Rob Seager - Rob was involved in the establishment of the business in 1998, and has architected its growth into one of IBM's top Business Partners in Canada. During a 16 year career with IBM in Canada and the United States, Rob held various management roles in Sales and Finance. He was instrumental in the founding of IBM's Leasing Company in Canada in the late 1980's, and the creation of IBM's Used Equipment Remarketing business internationally. Rob left IBM in 1996 to become the Senior Vice President of Comdisco Canada, the worlds largest independent Leasing and Disaster Recovery organization.
Paul Bruce - With over 35 years of experience in the information technology industry, Paul's background includes the management of Sales, Marketing and Systems Integration teams. After a 25 year career with IBM Canada, followed by General Management roles at Unisys Canada and a start-up application, development and consulting company, Paul established Skipton Associates. In 1999, Paul sold this leading storage systems consulting and sales company to Maxium, providing them with the technical expertise and client relationships needed to significantly grow their market presence in Canada.
Bruce Danforth - During his 30 year career with IBM Canada, Bruce honed his IT Professional skills throught the evolution from mainframe-centric to today's Open Systems architectures. In 2001, he established Danforth & Associates, with a focus on the design and implementation of Information Technology solutions to solve critical business problems, across multiple industries. Bruce brought his expertise to Maxium Solutions in 2001, providing leadership to the company's technical professionals in their execution of both pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
Andy Bruce - In February, 2007 Andy established an equity position in Skipton Group and filled the role of Business Development Manager. With a background in Sales and Marketing for two of the World's largest manufacturers of consumer packaged goods (Unilever) and consumer electronics (Panasonic), Andy brings to Skipton a new perspective on leveraging existing Client/Partner relationships; and leadership in the area of New Business Development. Since joining the company, Andy has built upon Skipton's success in providing IBM Point-of-Sale hardware and Integration Services to now include end-to-end solutions encompassing Self-Service Kiosks and Digital Signage, supported by a network of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), kiosk enclosure manufacturers, and Digital Media developers.
