Company Background

Established in 1998, and originally the Canadian subsidiary of Real Applications Ltd of California (an El Camino Resources company), the company was launched into the forefront of the Information Technology reselling industry in 1999, through the acquisitions of Centron DPL and Skipton Associates.  In the ensuing years, Real Applications Canada established itself as a leading value-added reseller of IBM hardware and software.   In 2001 the company was restructured and became a private wholly owned Canadian company, and the name was changed to Maxium Solutions.

In early 2003, the existing Executive team (Rob Seager, Paul Bruce and Bruce Danforth) acquired 100% of the shares of Maxium Solutions in a Management Buyout, and what followed was a sustained period of significant revenue growth and a focus on providing Professional Services to its clients to complement the reseller business.  By 2007, Maxium Solutions had become one of IBM Canada's top Business Partners, and was presented with the IBM North America Leadership Award for revenue growth.

In May 2008, the Maxium Solutions name was changed to Skipton Group .... same company, structure, people and location, continuing to deliver leading edge IT solutions to Canadian clients.
